Design Challenge
Our challenge was to connect the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico with its audience by providing up-to-date information and enhancing online presence. The museum's website lacked a mobile version, provided insufficient information, and offered a poor user experience. We developed a prototype for a centralized hub to improve discovery and interaction with the museum's events, enriching users' cultural experiences.
Discovering the Problem
To identify core issues, we conducted a survey that revealed users felt disconnected due to insufficient online information. We also carried out user interviews, which highlighted frustrations with the lack of reliable information and representation of cultural events. These insights pointed to a significant need for improved online access and more engaging interaction with the museum's offerings.
Crafting the Solution
The solution focused on practical measures by creating a centralized hub app that provides personalized event and artist information, supports multiple payment methods, and offers easy access to ticket history. MAPR's design was adapted for mobile and a mobile design system was established, ensuring a cohesive and intuitive user experience across all devices.
